Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources exists to provide comprehensive human resources services to The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. Human Resources has been charged with promoting an environment where employees are treated fairly and equitably, diversity is respected, employee contributions are recognized and valued, and development opportunities are encouraged.

Human Resources assists in the recruitment and selection of EHRA faculty, EHRA non-faculty and SHRA positions. This includes classification, recruitment and advertising, selection advice, and equal employment opportunity guidance.

Human Resources is responsible for benefits, salary, and leave administration, in addition to position management, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave, and staff development and training.

The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics follows and implements all personnel policies and procedures administered through the Office of State Personnel for SHRA employees and General Administration for EHRA faculty and EHRA Non-Faculty employees.
